The Romantic Road.
Lauda, I’m starting off here because it is a fabulous town. Houses
dating back to 1555, wine houses from the 1600’s, friendly people, easy to walk
around the main part of the town that can be entered through a 500+ year old
gateway at 2.9m. Or by an underpass below the railway @3.3m.
The centre has town Wi-Fi, which is very fast, lovely wee places for
coffee or food or both, an excellent tourist info office with English!
So, we have a problem, we have
to find a motor home company to sort out our electrics. I fear the hair drier
has wrecked them. After talking to the lovely people in the tourist office we
found the garage that could point us in the right direction. And they did.
Today we find ourselves at ERWIN HYMER WORLD in Wertheim. This my dears
is an Aladdin’s cave or utopia for motor homers. The good people have managed
to get us a spot at 1 tomorrow, so while we stay on their seriously good Aire
tonight, tomorrow morning we’ll get the bus, that they’ve given us tickets for,
into the local town or even better, Wurzberg.
Right now, we’re chilling, Margaret is watching fekkin’ Eastenders, and
I, well, I’m doing this.
We have spent most of the day in ERWIN
HYMER WORLD Sadly and expensively, it looke like Helga
needs new leisure batteries, this comes as a result of using a hair dryer
without the engine running!
Never mind, tomorrow we’ll start all over again from about 40 kilometres
up the road.
I’m posting this now because we’re on free wifi and there’s nothing else
to do. By the way, we visited Wertheim, and got some handsome pics. If you can’t
wait to see them, here’s a link.
